Lillet Spritz

Stimulate your taste buds with this easy to sip and always fun aperitif from the brilliant mind of Leah Craig at Honeywood. Aperitifs are a light and lovely way to ease into a delightful meal.

1 oz Lillet Rose 
1 oz hibiscus syrup (below)
½ oz lemon juice (one tablespoon)
2 oz Prosecco or other sparkling wine
2 oz soda water
Lemon for twisting

Add Lillet, syrup & lemon juice to a flute or coupe, give it a quick stir. Top with prosecco, soda water and a lemon twist! 

If you want to prolong the pleasure, serve over ice in a wine glass!

Hibiscus syrup

1 cup water
1 cup sugar
2 Red Zinger tea bags

Dissolve sugar in water in a saucepan, add tea bags and turn off heat. Smash it down and occasionally stir to release the tea. Let it cool at room temp. Squeeze out the tea bag and remove. Store in a glass jar in your fridge for up to one week!
