This year’s harvest of apple butter was made with local apples from nearby Evans Orchard, sweetened with brown sugar and flavored with warm spices.

We like it on country ham biscuits, as a topping for hoecakes and pancakes, even slathered onto a grilled cheese sandwich. But our favorite might be straight out of the jar, by the spoonful!
