Dried Apple Peels
Lay out any apple peels left over from your favorite creation on a parchment covered baking sheet. Place in 300ºF oven. Bake in oven for 30-40 minutes until mostly dry and crisp. Turn the oven off and leave peels in the oven until completely dried out. Store in an airtight container.
For a sweet variation, toss peels in a little neutral vegetable oil with cinnamon and sugar before placing in the oven or dehydrator.
Use your peels to top parfaits, granola, oatmeal, vanilla ice cream, to garnish a cheese or charcuterie board or just to munch on.
If using a dehydrator, follow the manufacturer's directions.
